Pilates is based on creating good postural alignment for strength, stability and balance.

Pilates practiced correctly is highly effective in toning muscles without creating bulk or stressing the joints.

Regular practice of Pilates will help you to gain a better understanding of your postural strengths and weaknesses; engaging the smaller stabilising muscles and bringing awareness to the deeper more internal muscles helping to balance the body.

About your Instructor:

Nicky is an experienced Pilates teacher certified through STOTT Pilates. Having practised Pilates for fourteen years, Nicky is hugely passionate about her teaching, making sure people understand and enjoy the exercises.

Nicky has run her own studio and worked for many others.  Her background lies in professional sports, athletic conditioning, injury prevention and rehab. During 2017-2018 Nicky worked with Harlequins Premiership Rugby Team alongside Osteopaths and Physiotherapists using Pilates to help players with injury prevention and rehab. 

Nicky is an energetic, fun, outgoing and positive teacher. Her aim is to educate clients about their bodies enabling them to understand the physical changes and postural benefits they can achieve through Pilates, helping them to release, strengthen and align.
